Ideology comes from the words idea and logos. Idea means thoughts, concepts or ideas. Logos means knowledge.

In simple terms ideology means knowledge of ideas, beliefs, or ideas. In general, ideology is a set of principles that are used as the basis for providing direction and goals to be achieved in carrying out and developing the national life of a nation and state.
