The occurrence of conflict in the international world is very common. The conflict between the two countries is enough happened in the international world. . Conflicts within the countries are just as dangerous for a country itself. The impact of civil conflict or civil war that occurred in several countries in the world will have an impact on several sectors within a country. This will affect the continuity of a country in carrying out several aspects as a country. One example is Syria Civil War.

Syria, which has the full name of The Syrian Arab Republic (Syrian Arab Republic/Al- Jumhuriyyah al-'Arabiyyah al-Suriyyah) is a country located in Asia, precisely in the Levant region of the Middle East and headed by President Bashar al-Assad.

Political life in Syria was extremely unstable after the country attained independence in 1946, issues in socio economics, religious and political groups. Bashar al-Assad eventually carried on his previous leader's authoritarian style of rule, employing Syria's potent military and security services to suppress political dissent despite some early efforts toward political reform, one of the biggest issues is Syria's civil war. Then the Question is "How have jihadist movements influenced the course of the Syrian Civil War from an Islamic perspective, and what implication do they pose for achieving peace in the region?"

To explain this war, one of the approaches that we can apply in International Relations scope is Realism.

  • Realism

Realism is one of the perspectives and theories in international relations that has been dominant for a long time. Realists claim that humans are characterized as beings who are anxious for their own safety, therefore they constantly strive for the strongest in other relationships. Realists assume that world politics is developing in which there is no superfluous power, and no world government.

The main actors in the state with it, and the ones that are not strong are considered unimportant. This is a tradition which emphasizes the imperative that states are faced with pursuing power politics for the sake of national interests, so the state must achieve its own national interests (..).In this study case, the use of realism due to the party itself is one of the actors that fits the superpower context characterization and has the ambition of domination. In this case, the Jihadist movement and western actors is also an actors that has always been involved in several conflicts in the Middle East only for its national interests. This has become a very natural thing for them because this is one of their ways for a long time. Engage as actors who pursue national interests, then use other actors as their tools to achieve their goals, by analyzing the clash conflict among the actors.

As previously discussed, that civil war often occurs in various countries, and one of them is the civil war that occurred in Syria itself. The background of the conflict in Syria is influenced by a number of factors, including social inequality under Bashar al-rule, Assad's the Ba'ath party's long-standing dominance, and many more. With the violence and radicals used by these groups, a jihadist movement emerged in the Syrian Civil War.

The jihadist movement in the Syrian Civil War was ideologically influenced by interpretations of Islam that emphasized military conflict, or jihad. Both locally and globally, the jihadist movement in the Syrian Civil War had important consequences. Therefore the involvement of the jihadist movement in the Syrian Civil War had a significant impact on the wider community. Not only the Jihadist movement, but also the Search for Peace in the Syrian Conflict written by the author in the discussion section. Starting from the UN has struggled to find ways and means of upholding their responsibility to protect the Syrian people to the Implementation of UNSCR 2254 on the Syrian War. From what has been explained, various methods and parties have carried out a peace process that has been carried to make this civil conflict stop immediately
