Jakarta --

Lately  , Indonesia is going viral on social media  because  of the  SCBD phenomenon or Citayam Fashion Week in  the Dukuh Atas area, Central Jakarta. In  the area,      around the Dukuh railway station   , there are many teenage teenagers hanging out with eccentric dressing up. This  is the  trigger for this viral  phenomenon.

The existence of this viral  phenomenon can be called Citayam Fashion Week because children  who hang out  with eccentric dressing up in  the place are  evenly  from Citayam which is a suburban area  on the border of Depok City with Bogor  Regency. From this phenomenon, they and netizens made the abbreviation SCBD (Sudirman, Citayam, Bojonggede, and Depok) which  means to represent area of  the child.

The virality of  this phenomenon  started from videos -- Tiktok videos  or Instagram reels that showed them in unique clothes " eccentric and weird" in interviews about clothes outfits, and  their love life.

The area is  now not only a place for their hangouts but also a  place for  outfits between teenagers.  The viral phenomenon of SCBD or Citayam Fashion Week attracted the attention of foreign media originating from Japan, namely Tokyo Fashion.

It was unexpected that  netizens thought  this  happened. Because at first, this  SCBD or Citayam Fashion Week  child  became the  subject of bullying in his weird clothes, but the Japanese media, Tokyo Fashion, had a think differently.  Instead, they support the existence of Citayam Fashion Week.

"A cool thread  about thousands of young  Indonesians dressing up and making the streets of Central Jakarta  come alive as a fashion catwalk, unlike  in Harajuku, Japan"  Tokyo Fashion tweeted via an account His Twitter.

This viral  phenomenon  eventually  received support from both netizens,  local residents and business people in  the  Dukuh Atas -- Sudirman area,  this is a possibility that in the future this  area will be will be as popular as  Harajuku. Because  it does not rule out the  possibility that this  phenomenon is an advantage for local fashion  players  to "starling" or street drink seller.
