It was not only because of his presence, but also because he expressed appreciation for the achievements of the TMMD Task Force in Morowali. Those praises felt like a refreshing balm for all the exhaustion we---soldiers, residents, and everyone who had worked silently for an entire month---had endured.
He also highlighted that similar initiatives are being carried out across various remote regions of the country, as part of a national effort to accelerate development in areas that have historically faced challenges related to limited access to infrastructure and public services.
"We will continue to evaluate this program to make it even better moving forward," he said.
The KASAD emphasized that TMMD is a cross-sectoral program involving the TNI, police, ministries/agencies, and all community components. The 123rd TMMD was simultaneously held in 50 districts/cities.
With the theme: "With the spirit of TMMD, realizing equitable development and national resilience in the region," he explained that this program is not just a routine activity, but a tangible form of collaboration between the TNI and the people to achieve fair development even in remote areas.
He believes that if TMMD continues to be implemented consistently, it will become one of the most effective solutions to accelerate the improvement of community welfare. "We want all regions to experience what the people of Morowali have felt," he said with a smile.
The KASAD particularly appreciated the opening of 11 hectares of land, as he himself has opened thousands of hectares of unused land. He hopes these efforts will be well-managed and holistically integrated with community involvement so that the benefits of the program can be felt sustainably by the people.
For me personally, that is the pinnacle of all our efforts---when the hard work of the soldiers, Persit, and the community in the field is directly acknowledged by the highest leaders of the Army, Chairwoman of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana, PJU Mabesad and their spouses, Panglima Kodam & spouse, the Governor of Central Sulawesi and Forkopimda, the Regent of Morowali and Forkopimda Morowali, and most importantly, when the benefits are directly felt by the people.
