Unisa Communication Science Study Program resumed its lecture program outside the classroom by participating in the second meeting at Rumah BUMN Yogyakarta. The material was presented by Bondan Satria Nusantara as a resource person with the title "Digital Marketing Framework for Beginners" on Tuesday (11/10).
Then, what is digital marketing? Reporting from the Entrepreneur journal, "digital marketing" is a marketing or promotional activity of a brand or product using digital media or the internet that aims to reach a wider range of consumers quickly.
Mr. Bondan Satria explained differently about the main goal or objectives of digital marketing, namely, "find enthusiasts; the bonus can be buyers." Both have main components in the form of traffic (interested) and conversion (buyer). Traffic changes from "strangers to browsers," while conversion changes from "browsers to buyers." When it is described, it will be understood that "the ignorant will become curious, and when it is known, they will want to buy."
In promoting products through digital channels, two things need to be remembered: that followers are not always customers, and customers are not always our followers.
Back in the 2 components above, we can understand the cycle to develop products in digital through:
Traffic, loading page, market indoctrination, community, commerce/shop
One of the shortcomings contained in digital marketing is the need for adequate experience. In addition, digital marketing cannot be done quickly, so MSMEs must understand what kind of business model they want.Â
