Who does not know about Indonesia as a wonderland? A very unique country located in the middle of the equator. According to the National Geographic page, Indonesia's astronomical location stretches between 6 degrees North Latitude to 11 degrees South Latitude and 95 degrees East Longitude to 141 degrees East Longitude. Its wonderland has various natural resources. For examples, abundant natural and marine wealth, as well as many kinds of culture and customs owned by Indonesian from Sabang to Merauke. Because of this uniqueness, the world nicknames Indonesia with many kinds of names. Such as, Country of a Thousand Islands, Lungs of the World, and Heaven Earth.
First of all, Indonesia is well known as a country of a thousand islands. The extent of Indonesia itself stretches between the Asian continents and the Australian continents, and passes between the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean. According to the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), Indonesia as an archipelago country has 18,110 islands which stretches from Sabang to Merauke. However, from these islands, only 13,466 islands have names and about 11,000 islands are inhabited. The number of islands scattered in Indonesian territorial waters makes its wonderland become the world's largest archipelago country.
Furthermore, Because Indonesia is an archipelagic country, it certainly has a lot of forests. Â And it becomes the largest in the world. One of them is a tropical forest or rainforest. These forests are scattered throughout Indonesia, such as those which are located on the island of Borneo. Therefore, Indonesia is called as Lungs of the world. Because the dense forests owned by Indonesia are able to produce large amounts of oxygen. Besides, in these forests, there are many types of plants, ranging from poisonous to the most beautiful in shape. Â Such as matoa, musk, sandalwood, giant lotus, and others. Not only that, Indonesian forests also have many unique animals, such as Komodo, orangutans, birds of paradise, and so on.
In addition, Indonesia in the eyes of the word is known as Heaven earth. It is caused by Indonesia's diverse natural wealth. And this is what makes other countries envious. Even since colonial era, Indonesia has become the main destination for trade. Indonesia is commonly called as a maritime axis. Because a number of countries are able to develop themselves because of the results of Indonesia's natural resources. So in the history, Indonesia has become a bone of contention for many big countries. So now, either Indonesian government or the societies must use the natural resources as well as possible. And do not let that wealth be taken by other countries.
To sum up, as a Wonderland, Indonesia is famous as having various cultures, customs, and natural resources. So, it is no wonder that the world calls Indonesia with many kinds of nicknames, such as Country of a Thousand Islands, Lungs of the World, and Heaven Earth. Those because Indonesia has a thousand islands that are made up of various ethnics. One of world's largest forest located in Borneo which becomes Lungs of the world. And because of the natural and marine resources owned by every Indonesian island that stretches from Sabang to Merauke.
