Research Contributions To the Effectiveness of Educational Management

Educational theory, practice, and innovation are based on educational management research. Research serves more than just academic purposes; it can also be used as a practical tool to help educational institutions make strategic decisions. This phenomenon demonstrates the critical importance of research in addressing increasingly complex educational management issues. It is a crucial part of the process of formulating learning policies and strategies.

First, The meaning and significance of educational management research differ from general research. Research is a collection of systematic, structured, logical, and empirical actions to answer research questions, while observation is only one method of data collection. Research in educational management is used to develop strategies, evaluate programs, and generate innovations. Research is more important than mere observation because it involves an in-depth analysis process that yields new information.

Second, in educational management, there are four types of research functions: theoretical, practical, policy, and academic. The theoretical function helps develop knowledge, while the practical function helps solve real-world problems in schools. The policy function provides research as a basis for strategic planning, and the academic function helps compile scientific papers such as undergraduate theses, dissertations, and dissertations. This demonstrates that research has many aspects, serving both academic and real-life purposes.

Third, Research has numerous benefits, demonstrating the importance of educational management. First and foremost, research produces measurable and objective data that can be used for evaluation. Second, research helps reduce bias in decision-making, resulting in more accurate policies. Third, research provides scientific evidence to support innovation, and finally, research can be repeated to ensure the validity of its results. Therefore, research not only solves specific problems but also creates enduring knowledge.

Fourth, evaluation studies, literature reviews, and case studies are other types of studies commonly used in educational management. Evaluation studies focus on assessing programs based on their value, while case studies gather information from previous studies. Case studies typically use a comprehensive research methodology to study a particular phenomenon in depth. According to Best, what distinguishes research from other studies is its results. Other studies focus on explaining facts or experiences, while case studies generate new, testable knowledge. In other words, research continues to be an important part of educational management development, although other types of studies can be helpful.

Considering the meaning, function, and differences between research and other studies, it is clear that research is a key pillar in developing educational management. Evaluation studies, literature reviews, and case studies can all be helpful, but research has the advantage of generating new information that can be used as a basis for policy. Therefore, educational management should not ignore research as a vital tool for improving the quality of education.
