Lately the world has been in panic because of this pandemic virus, what is it? It's called coronavirus. It's in the same family virus of SARS and MERS. this virus attacks our respiratory part. Coughing, fever, sore throat and more are the symptoms of it, these symptoms will come out in 1-14 days period of time. Countries that are involved with the corona virus are working together to find an end to this pandemic. They are starting to find the vaccine for coronavirus. The US is testing the vaccine on people but until this moment there are no real effective vaccines yet.
The corona virus or covid-19 these days are getting worse in indonesia especially in the city of Jakarta where it all started. When 2 people got infected from Japanese people who came here after running away from japan because of the virus, later he was detected with the virus in malaysia. Each day the number of patients kept on rising, the last report is on 5 April 2020 there are 2,273 people infected, 198 dead, and 164 people who have recovered from the virus. Â
Joko Widodo as the president of Indonesia refuses to do a lockdown because he says it will affect the economy of Indonesia. Indonesia is not really strong in the economic world. But it's endangering the citizens of Indonesia because they will have to do their activity outside their house. But instead Joko Widodo use PSBB "Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar".
If I were a president, I think I would do a rapid test just like Korea, it has been proved that rapid tests using drive through are effective and quick. It only takes up to at most 10 minutes, the result will be texted to us the next day it's also free. Not like Indonesia where even doing the test for corona we must pay 500.000 rupiah. Second i will make medical teams for each region so that everyday there will be a medical check up to see on the citizens' health, to minimize the spread of the virus we need to see every citizens health if they show any symptoms of the virus the should stay at home so they don't spread the virus to others.
Citizen of Indonesia is so stubborn because they don't want to follow the procedure that the president have stated not to go out and stay home if there are no important stuff to do, so i think we should make a lockdown and take people to jail if the still dont want to hear and follow the government about not going out. Many doctors and nurses died because they lacked protective equipment so as the president I will buy many protective equipment so that they can save and treat the patients well without worrying about themselves. I will also lock the flight so that no one can get in or out of the country so that they will not spread the virus more.
