Religious Freedom of USA

Basically this paper is based on the delivery of material about Religious Freedom in the United States. This material was conveyed by Mrs. Mariya Kelly. She is a United States consulate general who served in Surabaya. This material review is an interesting discussion because it addresses the issue of religious freedom itself.

The United States of America is the country with the second largest population in the world. All national and state activities gather in the country. The United States is the center of everything including economic, political and social. 

In terms of economy, the United States is the center of the world's largest currency circulation, while politically, the United States is the mother of a democratic country.

In a democratic country system, it highly upholds human values. The main principle, all matters of state affairs of the people, by and for the people as well. This principle is certainly held by the United States government as a tool for their struggle in life.

In addition to adhering to a democratic system, they also obviously embrace a liberal system in the context of social life. Which in this condition pursed in a social system that emphasizes the high respect for the individual. 

The United States realizes all this by providing security to its citizens, respecting differences, protecting civil rights, and upholding majority rule minority rights. The context of this discussion we try to discuss about religious freedom in the United States.

The United States as a liberalist country certainly upholds the individual and reduces the role of government in managing social life. That is, the government provides general rules and then the community is given breadth to regulate their lives. This is of course very reversed if we look in the mirror at other countries that embrace communism. 

Existing conditions, in the country's territory the role of the state is very large so that it regulates all people's lives. The context of religious freedom, is certainly in the spotlight. Because the communist state tends to be unwise in matters of religious freedom. For example, the case of reduction of social rights, opinion and convey aspirations. Usually this happens to minority groups like Islam.

The United States with religious freedom, gives the widest possible space for all people to carry out religious practices according to their choice. We take the example of policy to Muslims.

Islam in the United States shows significant development. Although including a minority religion, which is only about 0.9% of the population in the United States, but they still have their own space. 

For example, in the context of worship, there are many mosques in existence, which are useful for their lives. The United States government provides a sense of security for anyone who performs worship in these mosques. Resulting in significant Islamic changes.
