Certain British Citizens Require Visa to Enter into Indonesia

Not all British Citizens are allowed to enter into the Indonesian territory with a visa free program.

There are types of British Citizenships who hold different types of passports accordingly. Only a British Citizen holding a British Passport (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) who is eligible to enter Indonesia with a visa waiver policy.

Based on the official letter of the Director of Immigration Document Services and Border Controls (IMI.2-UM.01.01-2.1385) about Indonesian Visa Types for British Passports (UK Passports) Holders, those who are British Citizens holding travel documents as following types of British Nationality require to obtain the Indonesian visa (apply at the Indonesian Embassy) to enter Indonesia, prior to their arrival:

1. British National Territories Citizens (BOTC);
2. British National (Overseas) or BNO;
3. British Overseas Citizens;
4. British Subject; and
5. British Protected Person.

This British Citizen passport holder is eligible to apply for a visa free.

This BOTC and BNO passport holder require the Indonesian Visa (apply at the Indonesian Embassy) prior to their arrival.
