UN General Assembly meetings usually attended by policy makers and politicians generally do not attract widespread interest. But there are famous artists who often appear to give speeches, this gives a lot of attention especially when there is BTS.Â
They spoke after South Korean President Moon Jae In spoke about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Speaking in turns, BTS is also promoting vaccines, hoping that the world will improve and young people will rise again from adversity due to the Covid-19 pandemic, climate change and digital influences.
More than 980,000 viewers watch on the UN YouTube channel, and tens of thousands more watch on other YouTube channels and platforms.
The seven members namely Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook shared the experiences of the younger generation, and how their views on their future path were shaped by the pandemic.
In a speech at the UN General Assembly Meeting Room, BTS brought a story from a generation affected by the pandemic. In the midst of feeling lost because of missing many opportunities, the story of BTS offers a spirit of hope.
BTS conveyed the message in the context of the opening of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Moment of the Decade of Action which was held Monday (20/9) evening Indonesian time.
On that occasion, BTS brought "stories from future generations" as the South Korean President's special envoy for public diplomacy.

It is an honor for us to be here today. We, BTS, are appointed as special presidential and voice envoys of the Republic of Korea. We are here today to share the stories of our future generations.Before coming here, we asked teens and young people in their 20s from around the world about their last two years and about the world they know today.
