The majority of the island of Java is inhabited by the Javanese society, a group of people who have existed and continued to thrive from ancient times to the present. They speak numerous varieties of the Javanese language. The traditions and culture of Javanese society are deeply ingrained. Indonesian national traditions and culture are still largely dominated by Javanese customs.

To know more deeply about the culture, I have interviewed my own beloved parents who are Javanese (central Javanese). In the interview, they have been asked about what the culture values that they have learned from their parents. The first thing they mentioned is "manners". It is a really important value in the Javanese culture. They were taught how to be polite to everyone, Maintaining good manners is another typical Javanese practice. Either to an even younger or older person. When interacting with the local population, they also respect ethics. Javanese people are also used to bowing out of respect and courtesy while passing older or more respected individuals. bowing this body to demonstrate one's genuine regard for others and ability to put oneself in their shoes. This Javanese is aware of proper conduct in both guest and host situations. Next, there taught how to develop a good character from a young age such as how to live a decent life in terms of morals, religion, and conduct.

Another thing they said is that they were taught about their own culture since they were a child. They received extensive education in a variety of subjects, including language proficiency at various levels, regional culture, traditional melodies, and dress code. In javanese culture we are taught to talk in different levels of politeness depending on who the person we are talking to. Kromo inggil (with those they strongly regard or who have a better social standing), Kromo (older than them), and ngoko (for those of the same age or younger). Additionally, they are taught how to prepare and understand traditional foods and snacks.

Lets move on to the next part. In this section, we are going to talk about which culture values would they pass on to their children and which culture values the wont. All the values that have been taught to them will be passed on to the younger generation. Because it is very important, if it is not inherited then the culture will be lost and extinct, so that the younger generation will no longer know their culture and history. There are no cultural values that will not be inherited. Because all cultural values contain elements of goodness and it is impossible for parents to teach bad values to their children.

Despite living in outside of java, the Javanese are strong in their loyalty to their culture and traditions. Some locations, like Yogyakarta and Solo, are still heavily influenced by Javanese customs.
The culture at the royal is still strictly upheld even if the era is modern as it is right now. This demonstrates the Javanese people's strong character in upholding the customs and culture of their ancestors. Numerous customs that date back to Javanese ancestors have been preserved and continued to this day. Some of these customs serve as reminders of a significant historical occasion or as an expression of gratitude disguised as an occasion.
