In facing rapid change, schools are required to continuously develop. Transformative leadership and total quality management are fundamental pillars in driving innovation and quality improvement. However, many schools still lack adaptive development policies. Therefore, strategic efforts are needed to design policies that promote school quality and sustainability amid current challenges.
First, Future Perspective on School Management Duties; Future school management requires principals to be leaders with broad autonomy to formulate and implement innovative and responsive school development policies. The main focus lies on changes in organizational systems, handling situational issues, and the broader impacts of policies and global events. Therefore, school principals need sharp analytical skills regarding their organizations and environments, and the ability to build effective communication with all school members to foster an adaptive innovation culture for overall school quality improvement.
Second, Operational Policies for Internationally-Oriented Schools; These are strategic frameworks collaboratively formulated by all school members to realize a high-quality long-term development vision. Such policies must be clear, realistic, jargon-free, and accepted at all levels, while actively involving teachers and staff to foster a sense of ownership and successful implementation. The policymaking process includes issue identification, consultation, formulation, implementation, and regular evaluation, considering legitimacy, leadership, and external environmental dynamics. Active participation from all school components is key to creating effective and sustainable policies.
Third, Leadership and Policy for Internationally-Oriented Schools; Internationally-oriented school operational policies are collaboratively developed to support long-term vision and quality improvement. The process includes issue identification, consultation, formulation, implementation, and evaluation, involving all stakeholders to foster a sense of ownership. Policies must be clear, realistic, and easy to understand, led by responsive and collaborative leadership to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of change.
Fourth, Policy for Internationally-Oriented School Development; The development of internationally-oriented schools must be supported by quality-focused policies, empowering leadership, and active participation of all school members. Transformational leadership is key to creating a collaborative, innovative, and highly moral climate. Decision-making, development strategies, and evaluations must involve all stakeholders. The main focus is quality improvement through thorough planning, effective communication systems, optimal resource utilization, and a curriculum that reflects the school's vision and mission.
Therefore, the management and policy of internationally-oriented schools must be led by empowering transformational leadership, involve active participation from all school members, and focus on innovation, quality, and sustainability to realize an adaptive and effective long-term vision.
