The internationalization of education shows the importance of developing students' potential in facing global challenges. That educational innovation is the key to improving the quality and competitiveness of the nation is the basis of this paper. However, there are still many obstacles in implementing effective innovation according to the characteristics of education. Therefore, the purpose of this writing is to provide insight and guidance on educational innovation for teachers and principals to be able to create changes that are beneficial for school progress and improvement of the quality of education.

First, the basic concept of Islamic Educational Innovation Management: Islamic educational innovation management is the management of new ideas that are effective to solve educational problems. Innovation is successful if it is superior, as needed, can be tested, the results are visible, and it is easy to apply. According to Peter Drucker, innovation starts from the analysis of opportunities, ideas that people accept, and small things to lead change. Innovation goals include curriculum, discipline, management, and the role of teachers as the key to solving problems. The goal is to catch up with science and technology, improve quality, and ensure access to education for all.

Second, the Educational Innovation Model: The educational innovation model consists of four stages: First, invention or invention, which is the creation of new ideas or adaptations that bring significant changes in education. Second, development, the research and processing stages of ideas before innovation is widely applied. Third, diffusion or dissemination, which is the process of distributing new ideas from the source to the end user. Fourth, adoption or absorption, which is the gradual acceptance of new ideas by individuals or groups through communication in certain social and cultural contexts.

Third, Islamic Education Innovation Development Strategy: According to Kennedy, there are three innovation strategies: First, the power coercive strategy that imposes ideas without involving the implementer, so that the implementer is only an object, not an active subject. Second, a rational empirical strategy that relies on logic and evidence of the benefits of innovation according to real conditions for effective results. Third, a normative re-educative strategy that emphasizes repeated changes in attitudes and values through education so that innovation is accepted and runs effectively.

Fourth, Educational Innovation Management Process and Procedure: According to Roger (1983), the innovation decision process includes five stages: First, knowledge, which is knowing innovation without having to immediately understand. Second, persuasion, forming an attitude of liking or disliking innovation. Third, the decision, choosing to accept or reject innovation. Fourth, implementation, implementing innovation until it becomes a habit. Fifth, confirmation, ensuring that innovation decisions remain correct. The school's innovation procedures include the initial stages and implementation of changes.

It can be concluded that Islamic educational innovation management is the management of new ideas that are effective to improve the Islamic education system, The educational innovation model includes the discovery, development, dissemination, and absorption of new ideas, the educational innovation strategy includes coercion, rational-empirical approaches, and repetitive normative education, the innovation process runs through the stages of knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation, and confirmation.
