The phenomenon of education shows that the quality of the institution is highly determined by the existence of competent educators and education personnel. The assumption is that a good selection will produce professionals as needed. However, gaps still occur, such as lack of objectivity, discriminatory practices, and weak transparency of the process. This paper aims to discuss the concepts, principles, methods, techniques, and selection process of educators and education personnel so that institutions are able to recruit personnel who are qualified, fair, and in accordance with the following professional standards :
First, the Basic Concept of Educator and Education Personnel Selection, the selection of educators and education personnel is an important process to get individuals who are in accordance with the needs of educational institutions. The goal is to ensure that the selected workforce has qualifications, honesty, discipline, skills, and meets applicable legal requirements. Selection is necessary because organizational performance is highly dependent on the quality of human resources owned. This process also aims to reduce ineffective recruitment costs, avoid potential legal problems due to discrimination, and ensure that selected personnel are able to work professionally and productively in support of educational goals.
Second, the Basic Principles of Policy and Consideration of the Selection of Educators and Education Personnel, the selection of educators and education personnel must be based on the principles of justice, openness, and objectivity. The selection policy is determined by considering the suitability of the candidate's competencies to the needs of the position, effectiveness in supporting the performance of the institution, and efficiency in terms of cost and time. Another important consideration is compliance with laws and regulations so that the selection process is not discriminatory. Thus, the selection must be able to guarantee equal opportunities for all candidates, maintain the integrity of the institution, and produce a proper, professional, and compliant workforce in accordance with the demands of the educational position.
Ketiga, Metode dan Teknik Tes Seleksi Pendidik dan Tenaga Kependidikan, metode seleksi tenaga pendidik and education includes a variety of tests, such as knowledge, skills, and psychology tests. Interviews are an important technique, both structured and unstructured, that can be done individually, in groups, or on a board of examiners. There are also pressure interviews to see the candidate's endurance. In addition, work experience references and realistic job previews are used to obtain a comprehensive picture of the applicant's abilities and readiness. This combination of methods and techniques helps the institution ensure that prospective workers are truly competent, as needed, and able to adapt to the educational work environment.
Fourth, the selection process, the selection process of educators and education personnel consists of a series of systematic stages. Starting from the administrative selection to check the completeness of the requirements, followed by tests of academic, psychology, and skill abilities. The next stage is in the form of an interview to explore motivation, personality, and compatibility with the position. After that, a reference check and evaluation of the selection results are carried out to assess the effectiveness of the process carried out. The final stage is the admission decision that determines whether an applicant is eligible to join. Thus, the selection process ensures that the institution gets truly qualified personnel according to educational needs.
The selection of educators and education personnel aims to obtain quality, honest, disciplined, and law-abiding individuals. The principles emphasize objectivity, fairness, and rule compliance. Methods include tests of knowledge, skills, psychology, and interviews. The systematic selection process ensures that the selected personnel are qualified and supports the success of education.
