This happens in Indonesia. Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono known as Ibas, almost 30 now, elected two months ago as the general secretary of Democratic Party, the party of his father, Susilo bambang Yudhoyono. Anas Urbaningrum elected as the head of the party. Ibas at that time supported Andi Mallarangeng but he accepted Anas's request to move for the general secretary election. Of course, as the son of the big-boss in this country, who was willing to say no to Ibas's candidacy? After all, the mentality of those including in Democratic Party is ABS commonly known here as Asal Bapak Senang, for the sake of the big-boss benefit at all cost. It seemed to be a democratic election for the youngest cute son of SBY to become the general secretary at Democratic Party. However, for those who have their mind work, it is easy to know how all of them had been twisted in a way so that the majority of votes went to Ibas, the son of the big-boss. Well, it is good that the sons of SBY and Kristiani Herawati are only two. I cannot just imagine what would be the stories if they have more than two. What can be the target of SBY's for his sons? What can be the purpose of putting Ibas as the general secretary of Democratic Party? Questionable, isn't it? Take a look: for the Javanese, it is quite unusual to put the last name of a father at the end of the son or daughter's name. Yudhoyono is not a clan name but just a name. However, to copy the style of who knows who, Yudhoyono then attached to the name of both his sons including his wife, Kristiani Herawati. Mass media in Indonesia put her name as Ani Yudhoyono instead of Kristiani Herawati. Therefore, a name becomes so political. Even the name of SBY's grand-daugther is also attached with Yudhoyono. To become a president in this modern era is also a way to invite back those feodalistic habits back to the family even if Yudhoyono is nothing to do with any family line with Keraton either in Jogja or Solo. The mentality of the majority of the people here is mixed still of both feodalism and modernity; one of their feet is in the past and one is alredy in the present. Then, they turn out to become dizzy; do not have a good capablity to analyze what's going on. Those in power know this and get benefits out of this stupidity of the people. Remember "Indomie Seleraku"? during SBY's campaign? Ibas is the result of Indomie Seleraku: an instant way to have power on his hands. Anything instant is without nutrition; fragile and harmful to our health! ***
