Academic entrepreneur is an entrepreneur application which have been maintained in University because it had a relationship between industry and government policy. Academic entrepreneur already been formed since year 2000 in United Kingdom and try to make it "something" which has tight relationship with government policy and funding priority.
Academic entrepreneur is very important because some researcher was doing a research if academic entrepreneur has relation how to develop a firm. As we know, there is three typologies which has been explained by Janes-Evans, Dickson, and Birley. That everyone needs technology base of knowledge, academic knowledge, and develop entrepreneur with changing role in society to develop the firm.
Policy makers in University realize that academic entrepreneur must be implemented in campus, because university is a place that innovation creator so that students will realize and know if entrepreneur is important thing on business.
On this Academic entrepreneur study, we are going to take a case about Airlangga University. This university made a community of entrepreneur which made a combination between entrepreneur of academic and science. University of Airlangga realized that academic entrepreneur must be woken, they was looking at many students followed business competition, and many students also whom already own business[1].
Started from chat between David (a leader of AEC) and some of his friends whom already had their own business, was going to help everyone (Students of UNAIR) whom will make a business from capital until guidance of their talent. So that, they who wants to make business will never feel hard or difficult.
