ABSTRACT

This study aims to study Classroom Climate by using the literature study method. Based on the results of the research, the authors conclude that the relationship that children have using teachers & peers builds a classroom atmosphere. Therefore, engaging in quality interactions is crucial to establishing a positive classroom climate, which has also been reported to lead to benefits on cognitive development. The teacher must guide the students. The safety and well-being of students is the most important thing to increase social bonds with their peers. Teachers must be aware of how to manage these groups of students, and teachers must also find ways so that students can be easily managed towards a more favorable environment for them. A well-organized classroom is an important component of classroom functioning as it leads to more formative assessment.

Keywords: Classroom Climate, Function, Class, relationship.

INTRODUCTION

Classroom climate includes the classroom environment, the emotional and physical environment of the classroom, and the social development of the classroom. Teachers greatly influence the development and behavior of students in the classroom. These student behaviors affect how they interact with their peers, and how they are responsible for influencing that behavior. (Adelman & Taylor, 2005, in Lee,), class climate is a perceived environmental quality, which arises from the interaction of various factors such as physical, material, organizational, operational, and social aspects. Class climate plays an important role in influencing the continuity of learning activities and behavior in the classroom.

As for students with special educational needs, those with special educational needs have behavioral problems, difficulty capturing information, and learning difficulties. Students with special educational needs tend to feel excluded in the classroom. In contrast to students in general who do not have shortcomings, they tend to actively speak, voice opinions, and participate in teaching and learning activities. Why is that, because they feel more than students who have special educational needs and have high confidence in academic abilities. Thus the teacher must monitor and modify the influence between these students. Teachers not only need how the classroom is organized but also have to look at the background of the students, fighting bad behavior is the teacher's job.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

In this research, the writer uses literature study. Literature study is information that is relevant to the topic or problem that will be or is being researched by the researcher. The information is obtained from scientific books, scientific articles, dissertations, theses, research reports, and other written and electronic sources. M.Nazir. (1988). Research methods. Literature study is a data collection technique by conducting a review study of books, literatures, notes, and reports that have to do with the problem being solved. The methodology used in this study aims to collect more specific information for research, utilize information that has relevance to theories relevant to the research I am doing, and examines a number of basic theories relevant to the problem to be studied.

DISCUSSIONS

Overall, eight main aspects related to pedagogical practice and structural aspects emerged based on our analysis, which can be discussed with reference to the existing literature in the field. Classrooms that emphasize pedagogy through emotional support create an atmosphere in which children's behavioral problems and conflicts are reduced (Howes et al. 2013; Hartman & Manfra 2016). In particular, from Harman & Manfra (2016), children's behavioral problems were reduced when they received warm direct instruction related to prosocial skills. This is especially important for children from minority backgrounds as disciplined environments in classrooms and schools have been reported to have a negative impact on more vulnerable students (Mallett 2017). Similarly, the concept of "authentic pedagogy" emphasizes the importance of social and emotional aspects of learning that the teacher must ensure (Reyes et al. 2012), for example using customized feedback and ensuring conceptual development and productivity (Howes et al. 2013).
