Recruitment of educators and education personnel is a crucial foundation in building the quality of education. This process is not merely about filling vacant positions, but more importantly about ensuring that those who enter the system possess competence, dedication, and integrity aligned with the vision of the institution. The persistent issue of low educational quality often stems from weak recruitment practices, where qualifications and selection are not carried out rigorously. Therefore, a well-managed recruitment process is urgently needed to address the challenges of improving educational quality in Indonesia.

First, professional recruitment will result in educators and education personnel who are loyal, dedicated, and capable of future development. This is vital because the performance of education managers heavily depends on the quality of their subordinates. Teachers who lack competence weaken the overall effectiveness of educational institutions. Thus, the most strategic moment to ensure the quality of educators is before they enter the organization, not after they have been hired.

Second, a systematic recruitment process also helps reduce administrative costs and risks. A careless selection process can cause significant losses, both financially and legally. Recruitment, training, and compensation costs become inefficient when institutions accept candidates who do not meet the required qualifications. Moreover, government regulations demand transparency, non-discrimination, and equal employment opportunities, obliging educational institutions to carry out accountable recruitment procedures.

Third, well-planned recruitment creates education personnel who are independent, easy to develop, and who embody positive behavior and integrity. This aligns with the national education goals, which emphasize not only skill development but also character building. By selecting the right candidates from the outset, institutions can foster a healthy work environment, reduce absenteeism and turnover rates, and strengthen the public image of the institution.

Fourth, effective recruitment enhances the competitiveness of educational institutions on both national and global scales. In the era of digital transformation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, educational institutions are required to employ educators who are adaptive to technology, capable of critical thinking, and skilled in collaboration. Visionary recruitment does not only address the current needs but also anticipates future demands, ensuring that institutions are not left behind in facing global challenges. Thus, recruitment serves as a long-term investment that determines the trajectory of educational transformation.

the recruitment of educators and education personnel is not merely an administrative mechanism, but a fundamental strategy to ensure the sustainability of educational quality. Institutions that implement professional recruitment are better prepared to face global challenges, reduce long-term costs, and cultivate generations of educators who are capable of driving the transformation of national education.
