To get to Gunung Bromo, visitors usually start from the nearby city of Probolinggo and then travel by car or motorcycle to the entrance of the national park. From there, they can hike or take a jeep ride to the foot of the volcano and then climb to the top. It is important to note that the climb can be quite challenging and requires a moderate level of fitness.

To get to Mount Bromo, most visitors start their journey from the city of Surabaya or Malang in East Java, Indonesia.

From Surabaya, visitors can take a direct bus or private car to Cemoro Lawang, a small village located near the base of Mount Bromo. The journey takes approximately four hours, depending on traffic conditions. Visitors can also take a train from Surabaya to Probolinggo and then continue by minibus or private car to Cemoro Lawang.

From Malang, visitors can take a public bus or private car to Tumpang and then continue by jeep to Mount Bromo. Alternatively, visitors can take a train from Malang to Probolinggo and then continue by minibus or private car to Cemoro Lawang.

Once you reach Cemoro Lawang, you can either walk or take a jeep to the viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan to see the sunrise over Mount Bromo. From there, visitors can hike down to the Sea of Sand and then climb up to the rim of the Mount Bromo crater. Alternatively, visitors can take a horse ride or rent a motorcycle to get to the crater. It is recommended to hire a local guide to assist with the hike and ensure safety.
