As we know, recently there have been many incidents of sexual violence against children that have occurred by the families of the children themselves.

The perpetrators can come from anywhere, even many from the closest family such as uncles, aunts, and other family members. ironically, the family environment that should be safe for children's growth and development has turned into hell for them.

sometimes the community or family members who know about the incident are silent, with the excuse that they do not want to interfere, it is only a trivial matter and it does embarrass the family if the case is widespread and is known by the mass media and the general public.

Ironically, the victims are subject to social sanctions and ridiculed by the surrounding community. Throwing inappropriate words at the victim, blaming the victim's clothes, and other things. This can trigger deeper trauma for the victim, and be one of the reasons why the victim does not want to open his mouth about what happened to him.

The mass media also wrote down the full name of the victim, while the name of the perpetrator was disguised. This makes the victim afraid of public ridicule because her identity is widespread. The media should help to censor the victim's name and bold the name of the perpetrator to get social sanctions.

The things above can be prevented or minimized if parents provide se education from an early age. However, in Indonesia itself, it is considered taboo to talk about sex education at the age of children who have not yet reached adulthood. Whereas this can help children understand and equip them so that they can be more aware of what things cross boundaries. Launching from the ALODOKTER website, the following are the various benefits of providing sex education for children from an early age:

1. Counteract the adverse effects of media and the environment

Discussions about sex can protect children from the negative effects of certain content on television or the internet.

In addition, you must provide an understanding of the social world so that children do not fall into free sex or criminal acts, such as committing violence or sexual violence.

2. Build trust between parents and children

Discussing sex openly with children allows you to provide precise and accurate information about sex. Thus, children will not seek out sources that are not necessarily appropriate or even inappropriate, such as pornographic videos
