In Manchester, he likely had only a few bad days. In the circumstances where our team is playing horrible football, he always stands out with a solid performance. Commanding and be the leader of our back four. He brings so much to the table: leadership, experience, winning mentality, all things this current side has dearly missed and lacked for so long.

He is not an eye-catching player like Martinez, The Butcher. Martinez playing with a passion and heart. Varane may be the same, but he is a bit of a stylist defender. The bold difference is, when Martinez plays well, everyone praises him. When Varane plays well, everybody just moves on into the next thing. It is like nothing to discuss. The standard is always high for the frenchman.

His partnership with Martinez is the most enjoyable period in the last decade of Manchester United. These guys are the major reason why David De gea has the most clean sheet(17) in the last season. Unfortunately his injury is the problem. In the top team like United, players who had injury pron like him should go. His wage is a problem either, it is just too much according to his availability.

This guy deserves respect. One of the best defenders in the history of football. He literally wins and conquers everything in football. The guy who consistently plays at the highest level while making it look effortless is a blessing to watch.

So let him be, in his last moment of European football...he deserves good memories of the beautiful game he loves so much.
