Bogor City, Tuesday (03/17/2020) - Semplak Village, after two years managing the skin cracker business, Mrs. Didah shared her story about the marketing strategy that she applied. Mrs. Didah and her husband first had to spend 350 million to open the leather cracker business. The woman who was born in 1975 was able to sell 500 kilograms of skin crackers or 5 quintals per month.

Quality or Marketing Strategy?
"The quality of the goods produced is number one. Whatever the marketing strategy is, if the goods it produces are bad, they won't sell. If my skin crackers are made from freshly cut cowhide, it will be fresh and the taste won't be disappointed. " Said Mrs. Didah.

Although she does not yet have a business branch, but by prioritizing taste and quality, Mrs. Didah can sell her products to Mampang, peak areas (Cisarua and surrounding areas), Depok, Cibinong, Bandung, and the areas of Bogor City and Bogor Regency.

Skin Crackers Production Process
Mrs. Didah and her husband also have two employees who help the production of these skin crackers, Ms. Didah is very helpful so that she is more productive in producing skin crackers. The two employees assisted Mrs. Didah in pre-processing, processing and packaging of skin crackers.

Pre-processing includes the purchase of materials such as freshly cut cowhide leather, cooking oil, LPG gas and preparation of tools and equipment that support the production process of the skin crackers.

Processing cow leather into skin crackers certainly requires quite a long time. First we must ensure cleanliness of cow skin by cleaning again after selling the skin. After that, please air the wind so that it is not humid. Then dry the cow's skin until dry and cut into pieces as desired using a knife.

Boil cow skin that has been cut with seasoning that has been formulated. Then lift and drain until completely. Then dry the spiced skin again until it is completely dry.

Then prepare the frying pan for the first stage. Fry the cow skin crackers or dried rambak crackers in oil at medium temperature and use low heat until the cow skin crackers are rather blooming. Remove and drain.

Prepare the second stage frying pan. Fry the cow skin crackers again in hot oil using high heat until the cow skin crackers or crackers crack. Remove and drain. Let it cool first. After that, chill briefly before packing into plastic that has been provided.
