Emily in Paris (2020) Review

The current technological developments are very influential in various sectors. Nowadays, almost every activity we do we need technology. One sector that has an impact on technological progress is the education sector. For example, when we learn about public relations we must also learn about social media which will support future public relations activities. 

This is because recently the marketing strategy using social media is considered more effective and promising than doing it manually like before. Therefore, when we study material, we must also study the technological developments that affect it.

The Netflix series entitled "Emily in Paris" tells the story of a Chicago girl who serves as a marketing executive and is assigned to Paris to take care of her company's social media strategy to replace her senior. Many problems arose when Emily came to Paris. This is due to the stark cultural differences that Emily felt when she moved from the United States to France.

Emily then realized that the marketing system in the United States was different from that in France. That's why her boss named Sylvie was always harsh on Emily. 

Many misunderstandings occur because of the differences in the technology they use. Emily is more accustomed to using her social media to attract public attention, while her colleagues in Paris are not familiar with it. 

Differences of opinion also often occur when discussing with clients. But Emily didn't give up and tried to strengthen her opinion using her Instagram account, which at that time had been followed by thousands of people. With so many adjustments, finally, social media technology can be applied in Paris. This is because Emily has proven that the use of social media is very effective in getting public attention.

In my opinion, technological developments must continue to be studied even though we are already in the world of work. Adjustments between technological advances must always be made. 

Because through technology we can achieve our goals in an easier and more effective way without wasting too much energy. In addition, technological advances also make it easier for us to interact with many people from various places and be able to find news about areas that are beyond our reach.
