The Origin of Prambanan

Once upon a time ago, there lived a king named Prabu Baka.  He has a kingdom called the kingdom of pengging.  The Pengging Kingdom was a rich kingdom at that time.  Because of his wealth, the Pengging kingdom became famous until it was heard by a king from another kingdom named Bandung Bondowoso.  Because the wealth owned makes Bandung Bondowoso ambitious to attack the kingdom.

Bandung Bondowoso prepared to attack the kingdom of Pengging.  The raid began.  The Bandung Bondowoso troops defeated the Pengging royal army. Bandung Bondowoso also succeeded in killing the king of the kingdom, Prabu Baka.  When he wanted to kill the royal family, Bandung saw a beautiful girl named Roro Jongrang who was none other than the son of Prabu Baka.  Bandung is in love with Roro Jongrang.  Bandung wants to marry Roro Jonggrang because he is interested in the beauty of Roro Jongrang.

Roro Jongrang did not want to marry Bandung Bondowoso, but because he did not want to be killed by Bandung Bondowoso Roro Jongrang finally accepted Bandung's offer.  With one condition.  Bandung Bondowoso had to make a thousand temples in one night as an offering to Roro Jonggrang.

Because fascinated by the beautiful beauty of Roro Jongrang, Bandung accepted the challenge of Roro Jongrang.  With the help of the genie.  He can easily solve these challenges.  Seeing Bandung Bondowoso cheating.  Roro Jongrang looked for ways to make Bandung Bondowoso lose so he could not marry her.  Time is running out and Bandung Bondowoso is almost completing the challenges given.

In the end, Roro Jongrang ordered his servants to pound rice with mortars and make a fire so that the sky turned orange.  Sign of the day was morning, which made the Jinn quickly leave for fear of sunlight.  Bandung Bondowoso lost because of Roro Jongrang's deception.  The temples he has made have numbered 999.  He only needed one more temple to complete the challenge, but because of Roro Jongrang's deception, the Bandung Bondowoso jinns disappeared because the sky had turned orange and Bandung could not complete the Roro jongrang challenge.

Knowing when Roro Jongrang cheated, Bandung felt very angry and condemned Roro Jongrang to become a temple to fulfill the temple he made into a thousand.  The temples are now called Prambanan Temples.
