What's so special about LINE?

Is it the eye-catching and somehow humorous stickers they produce?

What if you get a chance to explore more about LINE right from its Headquarter in Japan?

Starting LINE Competition is a competition which aims to maximize the potentials of Indonesia's young generation and their community, especially among college students, by using LINE app. The competition was held on August to November last year. There were 5 champions to win a free 5-day experiential journey to Tokyo, Japan with VOOYA. And the 5 chosen university students were: Aldi Riandana (Universitas Mulawarman), Hilman Saputra (Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya), I Gusti Made Surya Dwipayana (STMIK Stikom Bali), Siti Ahmaniar (Universitas Diponegoro), and Vina Nurviani (Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia).

Not only gained the privilege to enjoy the attractions of Tokyo, with Vooya's experiential journey, the winners would also have an opportunity to experience first-hand the sensation of learning multidisciplinary subjects from the experts across multiple disciplines from social science, arts, culture, and sports to discover their passions. During the five-day experiential journey from 11-15 February 2018, they will undergo several amazing workshops:

Duel with Sumo Wrestlers

On February 12, 2018, as their first experiential journey menu, the winners visited a Chankonabe (Japanese traditional stew for Sumo wrestlers) restaurant. While enjoying their bowl of Chankonabe, they could watch a sumo match performed by two Rikishi (professional Sumo wrestlers), which was one of the restaurant's attractions. Not only that, they also had a chance to learn everything about Sumo from its history, the life of Sumo wrestlers, until the rules of Sumo match.

After having an insight about Sumo, each winner was allowed to duel with one of the two Rikishi, to have a real experience on Sumo match. Wearing Mawashi-look-alike costumes, a costume that looks like Rikishi belt, the five winners seemed ecstatic performing every technique and move instructed by the Rikishi.

Striking Taiko in Asakusa

Done with Sumo training, the winners headed to the next experiential journey destination, the Taiko-Lab Asakusa. They would learn how to be a Taiko drummer at one of the most notable Taiko center in Japan. Taiko is a traditional Japanese percussion instrument, or to simply put, it is the name for traditional Japanese drum usually played during special occasions such as cultural festivals and religious ceremonies.
