Literally universal rights enshrined in the American and Indonesian constitutions have the same equality in terms of human rights freedoms. In accordance with the UN declaration embedded in article 18 on freedom of human rights which reads "everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion" in this case reflects the responsibility in maintaining unity within the frame of respect for freedom of all human rights.

This declaration is also in line with Indonesia and America which always uphold the values of equality and human rights, namely in the Indonesian state we are familiar with the term PANCASILA which contains 5 noble values in the nation.

And in the constitution of the United States namely in the first amendment to the constitution of the United States that reads "the congress will not make laws relating to the establishment of religion, or prohibit the exercise of religious freedom".

The point is that basically every country respects human rights in the state but unfortunately, despite the fact that most people in the world believe in God, about 80% of the world's population currently lives in an atmosphere that limits religion. Whether Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, or Hindu, there are people from every religion and creed who experience persecution.

In the communist party's ideology of religion, one is required to denounce religion as a false belief system and as a form of ignorance. Communist party members are required to fight against all forms of religion.

All governments and leaders of the Soviet Union are members of the communist party. In the Soviet Union religion tends to be persecuted, in practice in Soviet countries the people are not allowed to express belief in the form of direct expression in religion, they are forbidden from religion and worship.

If they do worship then they will be fired at their jobs, discriminated and ostracized by that is why there was resistance by a sense of discrimination that made the United States of America, the formation of the religion due to the similarity of feeling and suffering due to their confinement in expressing religion, and in this case the American state offered freedom of religion and was acceptable to the people of several countries that received same treatment. In this case reflects that the formation of the independence of the United States of America due to an injustice in human rights practices that exist in Europe.

Speaking of the religion of the Soviet Union certainly would not be separated from the role of the Indonesian nation at that time. As the number 2 largest country in the world, Indonesia plays an important role in the spread and peace of Islamic religious conflicts in the world, including the Soviet Union.

One of the efforts to make donations in the form of a mosque in the context of religious liberation in the Soviet Union is the Saint Patersburg mosque which was opened in 1913, this mosque is the largest mosque in Europe outside of Turkey located in the center of St. Peterburg which can accommodate up to five thousand worshipers, but in 1940, the Soviet authorities banned worship services in this mosque and started using it as a warehouse for medical equipment.

But in 1956 at the request of the president voluntary, ten days after his visit to the city, the mosque was returned to the Muslim religious community st. Petersburg. One of Indonesia's efforts and the influence of President Sukarno in the efforts of religious freedom in the Soviets was when the tomb of Imam al-Bukhari disappeared in 1961.

President Sukarno paid a working visit to the Soviets and President Sukarno asked to pray at the tomb of Imam Bukhari in Samarkand which had been lost and abandoned So, to accommodate the wishes of the president, voluntarily the Soviet authorities found the meal and reopened the mosque and made a quick renovation to it, this shows a great influence in religious freedom efforts in the Soviet.
