Many people love raining. We could find the expression on how they like it in the paragraph of essays, the line of the poem, even in the updated status or someone’s profile information published on the social network such facebook, friendster, twitter, and so on. Some people consider the rain as a romantic thing in the world. I wonder what is so interesting and makes people crazy about it. Because to me, the rain is not as wonderful as people might think.

Have you ever thought yourself in the rainy day, without your own car—it means that you should be in a bus full of passenger and there is no enough fresh air because the windows are closed to avoid the water get into the vehicle?Or, try to imagine yourself stuck in the bus shelter, surrounded by the strangers and get wet because the shelter’s roof does not protect you well. Or, you should drive your motorcycle in the rain, crossing the flooded street for the urgent mater related to your work. Would you still think the rain as many people imagine?

However, it does not mean that people should have their own car or house to be able to feel the romantic or wonderful side of the rain. It would be great if someone in the certain conditions mentioned could love—even adore—the rain. What a superb!

Me, I would prefer the wind. The wind will not disturb our activities—off course except for those who work for Pemda DKI, cleaning the street from garbage (they might hate the wind). When the wind blows, we do not need to speed up our foot-step along the street to the office. We even could enjoy it! One more thing, do you remember a song lyric about the wind? I believe that there is one, “Oh, angin…. sampaikan salamku….” Or, “…going where the wind blows….” It is more useful than the rain, I think. It has the ability to send the message, and to tell the direction :-D
