A long time ago, there lived a man, named Pitung. He was so handsome, humble, tall, and of course a lovely kind heart. He lived in Rawabelong a small village in Batavia or today called as Jakarta. Pitung lived with his father and mother in that village, his father was a farmer and most of the villagers was farmer also. In his village Pitung known as a person who was really strong and skillful in martial arts especially Silat.
Silat is a traditional martial arts in Indonesia. Pitung learned Silat from his teacher since he was a child, and after a few years Pitung become stronger his teacher decided to give all his knowledge to Pitung, even the most powerful magic, this magic can make people who learned it become weapon resistant. All of his knowledge and power didn't make him forget who he was. He always be there for every people who needed his help. Unfortunately, Batavia that time were colonized by the Dutch government.
Once, Pitung saw some Dutch soldiers tried to rob some villagers, the villagers was so afraid and this is the first time Pitung saw this kind of situation. Pitung was so angry when he saw this situation and challenged the soldiers fight. The soldiers was underestimated him because they had their gun and Pitung with just barely hand. The soldiers started to shoot Pitung but it is useless because Pitung already skilled the magic who can make hime bulletproof. The soldiers was so shocked, and they tried to punch Pitung in his face but ended with Pitung crush their faces. Some of the soldiers ran away and threatened Pitung that they would report this situation to their general. After a few days the general sent a troops to catch Pitung but before they catch him Pitung make a group to help other village and moved from one village to others. Other reason is this can make the general hard to catch them. But still Pitung got caught when he was in one of the village, he surrender to make his group ran away from the general.
After a few days in jail, Pitung escaped from the jail and this make the general very angry. So he make an order to catch Pitung's father and teacher. Pitung knew that he has to make a decisions to release his father and teacher from the general. The great humble and strong Pitung decided to surrender in order to make his father and teacher safe. The general agreed to release both of his father and teacher. General decided to lock up Pitung but he think if he sent Pitung to Jail, he will ran way again. So the general decided to kill Pitung with a death penalty. He gave signal to the troop to shoot Pitung, and with his single hand move all of the soldiers fired their gun toward Pitung's body and in instant Pitung's body fell to the ground.
