Recently, people around the world have felt the euphoria of the World Cup Qatar 2022. World Cup is over, and Argentina came out as champion.

The World Cup is a prestigious sporting event that is very expensive. To organize this event, the country selected as the host will allocate a large budget to finance the construction of facilities and infrastructure. Qatar has used a budget of up to $220 billion to host the 2022 World Cup. The funds will be used to build stadiums, housing, facilities and other supporting infrastructure. This makes the 2022 World Cup in Qatar the most expensive World Cup in history. This biennial event is a historic moment for Qatar and the Middle East because it was the first time to host this prestigious tournament.

FIFA awards are also no joke. It is known that FIFA has allocated a budget of US $ 440 million trillion this year to award the 2022 Qatar World Cup. Another interesting fact, this year's World Cup is the first major football event to be held in Qatar, the Middle East. However, the selection of Qatar as the host had caused controversy because Qatar was considered too small to host events such as the World Cup.

World Cup History

The FIFA World Cup was first organized in 1930, when FIFA president Jules Rimet decided to organize an international soccer tournament. The first World Cup, held in Uruguay in 1930, was contested as a tournament final consisting of only 13 teams invited by the organization. They consist of 6 countries from South America, 5 from Europe and 2 from North America.

This World Cup took place when European countries were experiencing an economic depression. This made many European footballers worry about losing their jobs when returning from the Uruguay tournament.

As a result, several of Europe's top teams, including three-time Olympic gold medalists Britain and football fans from Italy, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands, did not compete in the inaugural World Cup.

However, it turned out that Uruguay dared to bear the cost of his trip. Rimet then convinced Belgium, France, Romania and Yugoslavia to participate in the tournament.

For Romania itself, their leader, King Carol, personally chose the members of the departing team. He also promised the athletes a three-month holiday and guaranteed their jobs when they returned.

In this historic match, Uruguay beat Argentina 4-2 in front of 93,000 spectators and won its first World Cup title.
