"Kue" in Bahasa Indonesia means cake; so "pukis" is a kind of cake in Indonesia. "Kue pukis" is a simple snack which is so easy to make. It's made from wheat flour, coconut milk, yeast, and sugar. The dough is put on mold then roasted for a moment. The sellers may add various kinds of topping like chocolate sprinkles, strawberry or peanut jam. Just for about 5 minutes, "kue pukis" is ready. The price of "kue pukis" is so affordable. Each has the price around 400 - 1,000 IDR (1 US$ is around 9,000 IDR), so it is very cheap, isn't it!
