Computer-Based Writing Examination (UTBK) is an entrance test to higher education carried out by the Higher Education Entrance Test Institute (LTMPT), the only institution that administers standardized state higher education tests in Indonesia. In 2022, UTBK will be held in 74 UTBK centers spread throughout Indonesia in two sessions. The first session was held from March 23 to April 15, 2022, while the second session was held from May 28 to June 3, 2022. LTMPT announced that until the deadline for registration, April 16, 2022, at 15.00 WIB, 800.852 participants registered for UTBK through the LTMPT official website: https://portal.ltmpt.ac.id.
During a pandemic Covid-19 that is still engulfing Indonesia, this doesn't hinder the enthusiasm of the UTBK participants. One of them is, Anin, a student from Bekasi City, West Java, who eagerly can't wait for her turn to carry out the UTBK. Located at the Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Anin was escorted by her mother to carry out the UTBK on May 30, 2022.
"What makes me excited to come to UTBK is because today is the day! Today is the day when I can let go of all the efforts that have been prepared so far. It also relieves the burden after UTBK," she said.
She said various efforts had been prepared to face the UTBK, starting from attending intensive UTBK classes, doing practice questions, to watching discussion questions on YouTube. According to her, UTBK is one way for her to become a student at Indonesian state universities, so she hopes to get the best results and pass the 2022 State University Entrance Joint Selection (SBMPTN).
