Advertising is a marketing medium that is most often used by the public. From time to time, the development of advertising services in Indonesia is growing. Various creative ideas are poured so that the product or service offered can attract the attention of the public. Starting from sequel advertisements, using various interesting performances, to inviting famous artists to become brand ambassadors for a brand, both local and non-local.

Although there are various advertisements that are quite innovative and creative, there is one ad that impressed me the most. This ad is not shown on television, but is shown on social media and is quite electrifying to many people. The advertisement I mean is an advertisement made by Bittersweet by Najla, a famous dessert shop in Indonesia that makes a variety of interesting desserts, such as dessert boxes, brownies, cakes, and various foods.

So why do I like their ad?
Recently they released their newest dessert flavor variant, Toblerone chocolate which is famous for its deliciousness. To announce this new variant, they made an interesting advertisement. So they post via their Instagram account, that the owner has just experienced a disaster. They say that they have cheated tens of millions, and have incurred huge losses. In fact, they displayed a photo where there was an 'emergency' line that ran across their cafe building.

This of course raises various questions that arise in the minds of the public. Are they really at a loss? Or is there an incident that causes Bittersweet by Najla to go bankrupt? Social media users swarmed with words of encouragement for the Bittersweet by Najla Team. In fact, this news has spread everywhere and entered various popular entertainment social media accounts in Indonesia.

However, on the day of the launch of the new variant they posted a video showing what it all meant. It turned out that the incident was not real, it was just an advertising strategy they did to get people's attention. Their products were sold well, and received a lot of positive feedback.

In my opinion, this ad is very creative. They managed to attract the public's attention, and promote their products well. The products they issue can also sell well in the market, one of which is due to creative and innovative advertising factors. As quoted from Reading, namely "Creative advertising ideas are a sure catch if they are attractive or funny". So, it can be said that the advertisements they make are interesting and creative, because they can generate attention from the public.
