Semester 6 Student Class C S1 Department of Islamic Education Management UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung

In the era of globalization, international Islamic educational institutions face major challenges in building effective leadership management. The phenomenon that emerges is the tight competition between institutions in producing superior generations. In fact, there are still many institutions that are weak in managerial competence, decision making, and increasing performance productivity. This problem has an impact on the quality of education. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to discuss the nature of leadership management, competence, strategic decisions, and productivity of Islamic educational institutions.

First, the Concept of Islamic Educational Leadership Management, Islamic educational leadership management is the process of managing human and material resources to achieve educational goals effectively. Leaders must be able to plan, organize, direct, and supervise, as well as empower their subordinates. The functions of leaders include motivators, event organizers, and policy makers. The quality of educational institutions is highly dependent on the effectiveness of their management. Good leadership will increase productivity, quality of education, and harmonious relations with the community.

Second, Competence of Islamic educational institution leadership management, Islamic educational institution leadership management requires four main competencies: leadership traits and skills, problem-solving skills, social skills, and professional knowledge and competencies. Leaders must emulate the morals of the Prophet, be able to manage conflicts wisely, build strong social networks, and continue to improve the quality of planning, ideas, and productivity to advance the institution effectively.

Third, the Decision Model of Islamic Educational Institution Leaders, The decision-making model in Islamic educational leadership involves selecting the best alternative fairly, objectively, and responsibly. The basis comes from a religious approach (sharia-based justice), philosophy (existential freedom and responsibility), psychology (instinctive and personality drives), and sociology (social actor networks). Educational leaders must consider internal-external factors, leadership traits and behaviors, and national educational goals. Decisions are made based on mature analysis to be effective, efficient, realistic, and contextual.

Fourth, Islamic Educational Institution Performance Productivity, Islamic educational institution performance productivity is influenced by ability, motivation, work environment, transparency of performance assessments, and career levels. Productivity is a mental attitude to continue to improve work results. Internal and external motivation are very important in improving performance. Performance measurements include quantity, quality, punctuality, attendance, and teamwork, in order to achieve organizational goals effectively and efficiently.

Leadership management in Islamic educational institutions is very important. Effective leadership requires professional competence, the ability to make value-based decisions, and optimal management of work productivity. With good management, Islamic educational institutions are able to improve the quality of education and produce superior generations.
