The era of globalization brings opportunities and challenges for Islamic education. To remain relevant and competitive, Islamic education needs to maintain its values and adopt modern management. Educational management includes planning, organizing, motivating, and supervising in order to manage resources effectively and efficiently. Management does not only apply in large organizations, but also at all levels, including educational institutions, in order to achieve common goals systematically and structured.

First, the Basic Concept of Islamic/International Educational Institution Management Islamic/International Educational Institution Management is the process of managing resources effectively on a cross-country scale. International Standard Schools/Madrassas aim to improve the competitiveness of graduates globally, combining national and international standards. The legal basis includes Law on the National Education System No. 20 of 2003 and Government Regulation No. 19 of 2005. The development of SBI requires strong leadership management and meets global education quality criteria to encourage superior and internationally competitive human resources.

Second, Characteristics of International Educational Institutions/Schools in Indonesia International Schools/Madrassas in Indonesia have unique characteristics, namely OECD standard-based curriculum through adaptation/adoption, clear vision and mission, and the use of foreign languages as the main medium. The learning focuses on skills development, is creative and innovative. This school also has a varied culture, high international competitiveness, and effective principal leadership in order to achieve global education quality.

Third, the characteristics of SBI Input, Process, Output/Outcomes are as follows: International Standard Schools (SBI) have input in the form of international standard class management, including curriculum planning, resource management, and student monitoring. The learning process is active, innovative, uses English, and assessments refer to OECD standards. Graduates are able to continue their studies at international institutions, work at global institutions, and excel in science, technology, art, and sports at the international level.

Fourth, Management of the Establishment of International Educational Institutions/Schools in Indonesia, International Standard Schools (SBI) aim to improve the competitiveness of national education with international standards. Good leadership management is needed and meets the quality criteria based on National Education Standards (SNP) and international standards. Although the RSBI program has been discontinued, several madrasahs such as MI Amanatul Ummah have shown superior quality and global competitiveness. Islamic education in Indonesia is divided into five types of institutions, from Islamic boarding schools to non-formal education, all of which play a role in strengthening the education system based on Islamic values and national quality.

Islamic/international education management requires strong leadership, global curriculum, innovative processes, superior output, and a system that supports the establishment of international schools for global competitiveness.
