The era of globalization has brought major changes in various aspects of life, including in the field of education. Communication and interaction across countries can now be done without limitations of space and time, creating opportunities as well as complex challenges. Islamic education management is often unable to respond optimally to global challenges because it still uses an approach that is less adaptive to the dynamics of the times. Therefore, this paper aims to discuss how Islamic education management can be developed while still being based on the values of revelation but with a global perspective. The focus of this study includes the characteristics of Islamic education management, its basic principles, its dimensions, and important aspects in developing the concept of Islamic education management that is relevant to the challenges of the globalization era.
First, the Characteristics of Islamic Education Management which are quite extensively put forward by Qomar, namely Islamic Education Management has distinctive characteristics, namely based on revelation (Al-Qur'an and Hadith), based on four main supports: theological, rational, empirical, and theoretical and has a theoanthropocentric character. This management is emancipatory, transformative, prioritizes the formation of Muslim personality, and aims to integrate faith, intellectual, charity, and morals in forming a person with a complete personality.
Second, the Principles of Developing Islamic Education Management put forward by Langgulung are seven types of principles, namely: The principles of Islamic education management include faith and morals as the basis, deliberation in decision making, justice and equality as the main values, and efficient division of labor. In addition, it is important to adhere to the management function, maintain social relations in relationships, and sincerity in carrying out tasks in order to achieve educational goals that are noble and Islamic.
Third, Aspects of Global Islamic Education Management Development, namely, Islamic education management reflects Islamic identity through revelation and culture, based on five main ingredients: revelation, the aqwal of companions and scholars, the development of educational institutions, community culture, and management principles. All of them are based on four main supports: theological, rational, empirical, and theoretical which complement each other.
Fourth, Dimensions of Islamic Education Management, The dimensions of Islamic education management are very diverse, covering informal, non-formal, and formal education, as explained by Qomar. Each dimension is described as a trunk, branches, and twigs which include family education, community studies, to Islamic boarding schools, reflecting the complexity and richness of Islamic education management practices in Indonesia.
Islamic education management is based on revelation, oriented towards God and humans. Faith and Morals, Deliberation, Justice and Equality, Division of Work and Tasks, Adhering to the management function, Socialization, Sincerity. Religious Education Management in the Family, Management of Religious Studies in Society. Revelation texts, both the Qur'an and hadith, Aqwal of the Prophet's companions, Development of Islamic educational institutions as an empirical basis.
