On Tuesday, June 14, 2022, Ompui Ephorus Robinson Butar-Butar, who is the helm of the HKBP, paid a working visit of Ephorus Time to District XX Riau Islands. The event of Ephorus Time to District XX Riau Islands was held in HKBP Batam Center.Â
Before the Ephorus Time event, Ephorus HKBP paid a visit to the Chairman of BP Batam, Muhammad Rudi, at the Mayor's office.
The figure of an Ompui Ephorus among the congregations of the Huria Kristen Batak Protestan (HKBP) church is highly respected and appreciated.
A working visit of the "Ephorus Time" is a forum and opportunity for Sintua and HKBP congregation residents to convey constructive advice to Ephorus so that the HKBP church ministry becomes better and remains contextual in the current era of globalization.
The event started with worship and continued with the socialization of Ephorus' vision, mission, and work programs during his term of office.
Ephorus emphasized to more than 250 congregants present at HKBP Batam Resort Batam Center, that HKBP should be a blessing to the surroundings.
Also, Ephorus mentioned the importance of transformation in HKBP. "We've done empowerment. But it must not stop, it must be passed on every year. In 2022, we are entering a year of solemnity and goodness," said Ompui Ephorus, Rev. Dr. Robinson Butarbutar.
In this Ephorus Time, Ephorus also said that the target of the year is the centralization of the full-timer payroll. Only with centralization, Ephorus is optimistic that HKBP's ministry will get better and have a tremendous impact on the congregation and its surroundings.
After delivering his presentation, Ephorus heard various inputs and proposals from Parhalado and congregational residents throughout HKBP District XX Riau Islands led by Praeses Rev. Renova Sitorus.
