Air conditioner (AC) is being used by the people from 100 years ago. John Gorrie was the founding of air conditioner. He created this because he wanted to stabilize the room temperature. He was starting to create the air conditioner on 1845. Do you know what is the effect of Air Conditioner in to our earth?
The average air conditioning unit in American homes releases about two tons of carbon dioxide each year. About two thirds of American homes have air conditioners, meaning that about 100 million tons of carbon dioxide are released in total. Air conditioner not only releases the cold temperature, but also releases the hot temperature into the environment. This is the reason why the air conditioner contributed the impact of global warming.
Each drops of 10 degrees Celsius in an air-conditioned room will always be followed by an increase in outdoor temperature of 1 degree Celsius (in Surabaya scientific article of hot island by Drs. Abdul Rohim Tualeka, M.Kes Airlangga University AMDAL researcher). So the cooler in the  AC room, the more heat of the environment. Earth is getting warmer (global warming) if humans turn on too much AC.
Now, what can we do to decreasing the using of AC in the real live? First, we can use the fan to make the room colder. Second, try to plant some plants above your room to block the sun light go to your room, thus your room will be cold. Third, you can plant vines in the wall which can help you decrease the hot temperature. Last, if you are live on the apartment, you can decrease the using of AC by turning of it while you are not in your room.
 If each person has awareness to the earth, it will easy to protect our earth from global warming. "alone, we can change a little, together we can make a big change"
