Education faces global challenges that demand adaptive and innovative school development policies. School principals play a critical role in creating excellent educational systems through policies based on environmental analysis and effective management. This article discusses strategic policies for international schools.
First, Future-Oriented School Management Tasks. Principals with broad autonomy can design responsive policies. Their primary responsibilities include organizational restructuring, disaster mitigation, and adaptation to climate change, pandemics, and government regulations to ensure educational sustainability.
Second, Operational Policies for International Schools. Schools implement policies related to curriculum, student management, and decision-making. The effectiveness of these policies depends on organizational acceptance and stakeholder support to ensure successful implementation and school development.
Third, Leadership and Policies in International Schools. According to Ott (1996), leadership influences individual behavior. The Hersey-Blanchard model categorizes leadership based on follower maturity. Rutter (1980) highlights the role of reward systems, school environment, and participatory leadership in educational effectiveness.
Fourth, Development Policies for International Schools. School development relies on leadership, autonomy, and innovation support at all levels. Leaders must adopt transformational leadership, effective communication, and collaborative strategies to optimize human resources and enhance school competitiveness.
Principals must design innovation-based policies to achieve educational excellence. School effectiveness is influenced by the environment, student management, and participatory leadership. Innovation should be implemented in all aspects of education to address global challenges.
