Efforts to Improve The Physical Fitness by Doing Rhythmic Gymnastics at SDN Bedalisodo 03 Malang

Given that they will be the government's future generations, investing in school-age children makes sense. The right amount and kind of nutrients should be given in order for school-age children to grow and develop at maximum best. Everyone understands the value of physical fitness, but students in particular since, in addition to helping the body's organs, sportsmanship, competitive spirit, and fitness play a role in the growth of physical skills and movement abilities. 

Fitness is the body's capacity to perform an activity with efficiency over an extended period of time without becoming overly exhausted. A person's capacity to lead a productive life and be able to adjust to any physical load that is acceptable for the individual's cognitive capacities depends on their physical fitness, which is a component of total fitness. For students of school age, improved motor skill proficiency and increased physical fitness are desirable learning outcomes. Compared to their less talented and less skilled peers, children who are physically capable and fit are more likely to be active adults.

The findings of the UM KKN team's observations at SDN 3 Dalisodo revealed that there were still many students who were unable to coordinate their body movements and participate in physical activities properly, students were less enthusiastic in carrying out movements, many students were easily exhausted in carrying out their activities, some students were frequently gasping for air while engaging in sports, and even some students were discovered to be underweight. Given that pupils' level of fitness will have an effect on the lessons they learn, this is undoubtedly a serious issue. A pupil will struggle to comprehend each lesson he is given if he is not in good physical condition.

The UM KKN team launched a number of attempts to help students become more physically active, one of which was rhythmic gymnastics. The movement known as rhythmic gymnastics, or simply rhythmic gymnastics, is practiced to convey an aesthetic or artistic sense while moving in time to the beat of music or performing free-form exercises in a rhythmic manner. Flexibility, constancy of movement, flexibility, consistency, and accuracy of movement in time with the beat of the music are all components of rhythmic gymnastics. 

You can perform the series of rhythmic gymnastics by walking, running, jumping, jumping, swinging your arms, and spinning your hands. According to research by Saputri (2009) that examines the frequency of rhythmic gymnastics exercises and gross motor development in early childhood, rhythmic gymnastics will have an effect on a person's gross motor movements. Following the findings of his study, practicing rhythmic gymnastics regularly will maximize gross motor development. Zulfahmi (2016) also promotes rhythmic gymnastics, which helps children develop their fundamental motor skills. Rhythmic gymnastics, according to Yuliansih (2015) and Kadi, Halida, and Yuniarni (2018), can help young children age 5 develop their kinesthetic intelligence. Both studies discussed how rhythmic gymnastics can help young children age 5's motor skills. 

Conclusion: Children in elementary schools can benefit much from rhythmic gymnastics in terms of improving their physical health. Overall, rhythmic gymnastics can have an impact on primary school-aged children's movement abilities and kinesthetic intelligence in addition to their physical condition.
