Community Service Program is an activity that has been carried out throughout the University, but some department do not carry out these activities. This activity is usually an effort to help the welfare of a village and help the development of villages that are the choice of the campus or students themselves.
Malang University also implements these activities and divided into several categories. One of the selected villages is Jombok Village, Ngantang District, Malang Regency, East Java. Community service activities that began Online from May 29, 2020 - July 6, 2020, are due to a pandemic that took place due to Covid-19. Even though it is done online, some members still come to the village with government protocol to maintain health while traveling so they can implement the work program that has been set and can communicate directly with people there.
The first activity carried out by Community Service Program participants to help citizens' activities. What is meant is community service, helping the people there to clean the environment. Usually such activities are carried out every week or every month in a village. Isn't that fun enough? We can blend in well with the residents there, helping our social souls to get out. In addition, even though pandemic is still widespread now, communication must not be broken.
The next activity is spraying disinfectant around the village. So, they began to surround the village and approached and each house one by one to help them spray disinfectant. Did you know if disinfectant can help to minimize or kill bacteria around us. Well, with this spraying, it is hoped that the covid-19 virus will not spread and damage the welfare of the village.
Third, distribute masks to Jombok villagers. So, regarding the problem of masks, Jombok villagers are less aware, but don't get it wrong, residents there must still anticipate the arrival of this virus. Some residents have used it and some have not used masks. So, we're share one by one to residents who are strolling on the streets, or who are relaxing in front of the house. It is hoped that with the distribution of masks, residents will become more aware of the importance of using masks when leaving the house in the middle of a pandemic.
The fourth is the manufacture and placement of hand washing facilities. Do not consider this trivial, even if you bring a hand-sanitizer, hand washing is still necessary. The reason is because soap is more effective at killing germs that stick to our hands, but follow the WHO's procedures for washing hands! With simple equipment, the place to wash your hands can be used and placed in front of the house for guests who want to visit your home or yourself who have just roamed outside the house. We also put hand-washing places at certain spots in the hope that the villagers will see and follow the method for their own homes.
Finally, the installation of banners in Jombok. So, the function of this banner is to show the villagers about the new normal life way that has been set by the government. It is hoped that citizens can imitate these methods, especially banners made it with some pictures, so readers are not too boring when read it and can attract people's attention to read them.
