Alita: Battle Angel is a manga adaptation film that tells about Alita (Rosa Salazar), a robot lying in the middle of a trash heap and being reassembled by a robot physician named dr. Ido. He developed and consolidated Alita's physical form into a cyborg.Â
But dr. Ido not only physically assemble Alita but also infused human love and feelings into Alita. When she woke up, she remembered nothing of her past. Besides that, iron city, where dr. Ido lived, somehow put Alita in danger because of her own power.Â
Alita met Hugo, her new friend in Iron City. Hugo took him on a journey to remember his past. When he was fighting Grewishka, Alita remembers some memories of her past.
Alita defeated many hunters who made him the target of evil cyborgs but, Alita always managed to defeat his enemies. Though, his body was destroyed in battle against Grewishka but dr. Ido managed to create a new body for him with even greater powers.
This film has a lot of technology, one of which is cyborg technology. Cyborg is a combination of a Cybernetic Organism, meaning electronic biochemical man.Â
Organisms mix organisms and electronic machines. It also employs CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) that are computer applications, or more specifically, 3d computer graphics for special effects in movies, television programs, advertisements, simulators, and simulations in general, and a printing press. The CGI was used for a computer visual effect because the effects it produced would be more controlled than any other based on a physical process, such as building a miniature picture effect.
CGI of the next few years can be applied to studies in Indonesia to add knowledge and can be used to make animation films for students who have creators souls. Also, studying CGI can help us improve the field of film in Indonesia
