The 98-minute film is an animated adventure film released in 2008. In the future, the earth will have to be abandoned because the earth is full of garbage. Not only full of garbage, the earth also becomes veryarid, seedy, and full of dangerous toxins. The environmental pollution is caused by the irresponsible production of Buy n Large company. Because of this condition human’s life becomes threatened. To prevent human extinction, BnL (Buy n  Large) carried out a massive evacuation of all humans on earth to a large spaceship named Axiom.
Wall-E
To overcome the extreme earth conditions, Buy n Large left hundreds of thousands of units of garbage cleaning robots named Wall-E (Waste Allocation Loadlifter-Earth-Class). These robots are programmed to clean up the earth by compacting a bunch of garbage into cube-shaped, then stacking them into one. Although Wall-E has accumulated a lot of garbage up to the height of a skyscraper, but there is still a lot of garbage scattered around it. However, it turnsout Forthright canceled this mega clean-up project. CEO Buy n Large it is estimated that by 2110 the earth is too polluted and impossible to live in again. Then in 2815, only 1 Wall-E was still functioning and programmed to do the cleaning.
Axiom
In the fleet of spaceships – the Axiom, humans become very fat. Because, in the Axiom all their lives become very easy and practical. All the things they want can be fulfilled just by clicking certain buttons. All activities from waking up, eating, drinking, till going back to sleep are done by the robots. The condition also makes people unable to walk, their lives depend only on the automatic chair. Until one day, McCrea, the pilot of the plane wanted to return to earth to save the earth. He falls in love with the earth after seeing the earth's condition from a recording of Eve's journey that found plant seeds. After a long struggle from Wall E, Eve, and McCrea, finally all humans go back to earth.
Learn from the movie Wall-E
After watching the film Wall-E, we can agree that human life is very efficient in that film. Technological advances certainly have an impact on the more practical human life. The ease provided by technology often makes people become "lazy" because they are spoiled by technology. Worse than that, humans are supposed to control technology, now it's like technology that controls humans.
So, moral education is very important for human beings because through moral development education is expected to run well, in harmony and in accordance with the norms for the sake of dignity and human dignity itself. In the world of education, we are taught not only to be academically proficient but also morally and socially. As educated people, we must be wise in using technology. The sophistication of existing technology should help humans to do something more for the environment, humanize people, and become useful human beings.
The movie delivers stinging critiques of consumerism, pollution, and poor waste management. The vision of compacted garbage stacked like skyscrapers on Earth is a haunting one, even in this light-hearted movie. It's probably time we did something about that trash. A stern warning to us, the more knowledgeable we should be the more open our eyes are, making us wise to the integrity of the environment and human life on earth.
