Of course, a lot of human beings are familiar with the term culture. Culture is something that is transmitted down the generations. According to E. B. Taylor, culture is a multifaceted concept that encompasses information, beliefs, art, morals, laws, conventions, as well as other skills and behaviors that people pick up through their social environments.

We must always learn about culture from our origins. We must always learn something about culture through our parents, schools, and everyone around us. But since our parents will teach us a lot of things to help us become ready for the future, we will inherit our own culture from them.

Surely all parents will teach little things when their children are still young, so did my parents. The teachings of the parents can become a family culture in every family.

Of course, the teachings of our parents must also come from their parents who are passed down to each generation of the family. After talking to my parents, I got a lot of information about the culture and teachings that were passed down to me from my grandparents. The teachings are positive which must always be upheld in every member of the family. What's more, I come from a Javanese family where my family highly values culture and there are existing customs that must be preserved from ancestors or older relatives.

As a family that comes from Java, etiquette is always considered wherever we are. This etiquette is always used when we talk to our neighbors or our relatives, because we as Javanese people are famous for being polite and gentle when speaking.

And also my parents taught us that when we eat, we shouldn't make noise because it is considered impolite and gross. This teaching was taught to me as well as to my younger brother. In addition, we are also taught to always be respectful and polite to those who are older than us and also always listen to the advice and directions given by parents.

In addition, there are also many lessons as well as culture and values that are taught to me. These values include the value of politeness in behavior, religious values, honesty values, discipline values, caring values, etc. These values have always been taught to me from an early age and I continue to uphold them until now.

My parents said that "By passing on the values mentioned above, it is hoped that children/young generations can find a purpose in life and these values can be used as guidelines for good behavior in life." Because if we have guidelines for behavior in society, people will be able to respect and respect us fellow social beings.

But in addition to the inherited values, there are also values and culture that are not passed on to us as the younger generation. These values include values that are negative, because these negative values are usually contrary to religious teachings and norms that exist in society.

And also there is no aspect of human life that is not touched and changed because of culture. (Samovar; 2017)
