God has given us a place to live. We were born, live, and at the end we will die in here. A very beautiful-green place, but as time goes by, human consciousness is diminishing. Our home is dying now, however, only few of us are aware of it. If we left it continuously, our homes will be completely destroyed. This all caused by 'Global Warming'. Many scientist had been predict that our world will be wrecked about 7 billion years from now. When the world is gone, there will be no place for our descendant to live. So we must begin to realize and start acting.
What is global warming? Global warming is a gradual increase in the temperature of the earth's atmosphere. The effect of green house is the biggest reason of global warming. Green house is dangerous for our earth because it trap the sun's warmth in a planet's lower atmosphere due to the greater transparency of the atmosphere to visible radiation from the sun than to infrared radiation emitted from the planet's surface.
Many scientist like Stephen Hawking, Coryn Bailer-Jones, and Issac Newton had predicted that earth will decay by 7 billion years from now. Not only scientist, even before their existence, Buddha already know that earth will meet its end. According to Buddha's theory, one cycle of rebirth of the world has 4 phase, which are Phase of Emptiness, Creation Phase, Static phase / residence, and Damage Phase (Doomsday). Now we are in the static phase, so willingly we will face the fourth phase.
The Doomsday is our destiny that we can not deny, but we can take action to retard the arrival of that day. We do not need to do something great. We can prevent it by reduce usage of carbon emission, air conditioner, and other electronic objects. Let's start to bring the green back. As a student, I can start by planting trees and throw garbage in its place. If all students in this world do the same thing, I believe the world will rapidly recover.
In conclusion, our earth is undergoing global warming because of greenhouse effect. That effect can cause damage for our earth. We might not able to resist it, but we still can postpone the apocalypse. Starting from now we should take part in the restoration of our earth.
