Tragic Accident in Balikpapan

A tragic and deadly accident occurred at Simpang Rapak, Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan (Kaltim).  A tronton truck known to be carrying a 20-ton container filled with cleaning chalk hit a number of motorists at a red light.

This unfortunate incident occurred at around 05.00 WITA this morning.  Police identified five dead and 4 seriously injured.
 The footage of the accident also circulated on social media, many netizens were shocked, horrified, and sad to see this condition.  Monitored on Balikpapan's Twitter timeline and Innalillahi's words topped trending topics in Indonesia, Friday (21/1/2022).

Condolences and prayers continue to flow for the victims and the families of the victims who died and were injured.
