In September 2021, Netflix released a Korean series called “Squid Game”. This series is played by several well-known artists such as Jungjae Lee as Gihun, Hoyeon Jung as Saebyeok, and Haesoo Park as Sangwoo. This series is also attracting more than 142 million members during its first four weeks from launch which makes it becomes Netflix’s most-watched series after Bridgerton. I personally also feel enjoy when watching this series. On the other side, people say that there are theories in this series. What are they? Can you guess that?
Well, the first one is about the cards. The red card and the blue card are the first options for the selected player. Gihun, when he got chosen, picks the blue card and then becomes a player. Do you remember men in red suits with a black masks? What if Gihun picks the red card? Will he become one of the red men?
The next theory is about Gihun with an old man who is also a player. Gihun with this old man is thought to have a child and father relationship. Why? Some scenes indicate they have a relationship as a father and son, one of those scenes is where Gihun asks for chocolate milk because he is allergic to milk. The old man says to Gihun that he would've been spanked a lot by his father as a kid because of it. When Gihun asks how did he know, he answers that his son is just like Gihun.
Another theory is about how their life ends. It seems to depend on what they have done in their life. Saebyeok once injured someone's neck and she ends up with a stabbed in the neck. Likewise, with Sangwoo, he was about to end his life by wearing a suit in a drenched condition. Then in his last breath, he ended up stabbing himself soaking wet in a suit.
Those are some theories that I can share. The ending of this story makes the viewers very curious, but unfortunately, we cannot know how the continuation of “Squid Game” will be, because this series is rumored to have no further continuation.
