Megalodon is the largest shark ever and the monster of the sea, because of it Megalodon become king of the king in the sea, which went extinct million years ago. The scientific name is Carcharocles Megalodon which means "Giant Tooth" or "Megatooth". The massive teeth of the Megalodon give scientists a big clue and information about what the creature looks like and when it died. The bite of Megalodon more massive than Tyrannosaurus rex or usually called T-Rex. T-Rex is the massive predator in the land. The Megalodon size is three times larger than T-Rex because most of the sea creature is the biggest creature now such as the blue whale, sperm whale, and orca whale. However, in the past, the creature could grow more than that. Megalodon is ancient sea creatures that can alive until now in the sea, people can say Megalodon has extinct millions of years ago, they can say that they only do a research until they limit, because the sea is larger than the land, they can not check every meter water of the sea. So, Megalodon can be still alive, because until now earth still supports their life, from the place, food, and their almost no disturbance.
The ocean is the biggest place on earth that supports Megalodon to stay alive. In the ocean, they can move anywhere to avoid predators or any disturbance because the biggest ocean allows them to escape interference. According to the data from USGS (par.1), "About 71 percent of the Earth's surface is water-covered, and the oceans hold about 96.5 percent of all Earth's water". Nowadays, 5 percent of the sea has explored by humans and about 95 percent of it has not explored yet. The scientist can not conclude that the Megalodon was extinct because humans are just exploring a small part of the sea. On the other hand, there are some probabilities that Megalodon is still alive in the sea because they largest place to live. Thus, people do not know exactly where Megalodon is.
Megalodon is a meat eater like whales and other large fish. Thus, the megalodon is at the top of the food chain at the ocean. According to the Emma says in Natural History Museum (par.6), "Emma explains, 'With its large serrated teeth megalodon would have eaten meat - most likely whales and large fish, and probably other sharks". Now there are still many large fish and whales that are a source of food for Megalodon. Large fish and whales live freely in the ocean without being disturbed by humans or other predators that allow Megalodon to have food supplies for it. That food factor is the possibility that Megalodon is still alive today.
Less pollution in the ocean is a factor that allows Megalodon to still live. There are three types of pollutions which are air pollution, water pollution, and soil pollution. In this case, water pollution could affect the life of Megalodon itself. The oil spill is the biggest pollutant in water. According to Our World (par.2), "there were 24.5 large oil spills per year in 1970 while the average number of oil spill decreased to 1.7 oil spills per year in 2010". However, Megalodon lives in the shallow and deep water which oil cannot reach that part because it always floats in the water. The one who gets the impact of the oil spill in the upper part ecosystem in the ocean while Megalodon is in the bottom. therefore, the Megalodon that lives in the deep ocean is safe from pollution.
Nowadays, Megalodon probably still alive because of many factors that still support its life chance. The ocean is a large place for Megalodon to live and it can avoid any disturbance to it. Also, Megalodon is a big meat hunter in the open ocean, even for whales. Since it lives deep inside the ocean, which is ocean trench, Megalodon less-affected by ocean pollutant such as oil spill. In other words, Megalodon is not affected because of the pollutant and safe from water pollution in the open ocean. That factor causes the possibility that Megalodon is still alive today.
