INTRODUCTION

Learning in KBBI is trying to acquire intelligence or knowledge(v),practice(v),change behavior or responses caused by experience(v). Novels in KKBI have the meaning of a long prose essay containing a series of life stories with people around him by highlighting the character and nature of the perpetrator and the usefulness of the novel for readers of inspiration and mapu complete the process of his life.

Racism is an idea of racial domination in which the biological or cultural superiority of one racial group is used to justify the social status of another racial group (Wilson, 1999). But for some, racism is just an old story in America (the conflict between whites and blacks). But if you look for it and pay more attention, you will see some people bullying or discriminating against each other. Either it will hurt other races, skin colors, or cultures. You need to realize that racism is still on the rise in the United States.

These can be seen in the fragment of the Jim Crow method. This law regulates "separate but equal" for blacks. The law stipulates that all public facilities in the United States, such as restaurants, bathrooms, churches, hairdressers, nurses, and even prisons, are separated into black and white. Anyone who tries to violate Crow's Law will be punished by the court and Lynch.

Private criminal law itself is a lynching and is enforced by law enforcement agencies such as the Ku Klux Klan or racist organizations. However, with the help of the NAACP, the Jim Crow Law came to an end, and in 1968 the U.S. Supreme Court declared that all segregation laws in force at the time were not subject to the Constitution. I did (Ware, 2013). We can see how black people are treated unfairly by the government. That's why Help is a great novel that reminds us how cruel racism can be. This novel talks about and shows the discrimination that occurred against whites in the 1960s. If you are from black or any other ethnic minority group, this Novel will help you understand the struggles of our people today. Like this novel, there are many manuscripts that show the differences between whites and blacks. For example, if a white woman named Hilly wants to pee but still refuses to use the toilet at her friend Elizabeth's house, it's because all the toilets are used by Negroes. This novel shows a lot of racism and can be seen based on African and American history. And lastly, the researcher hopes that this research can be a new beginning to prevent readers from discriminating against each other. And you need to know that racism must counteract racist tendencies from childhood. Racism has always been a culture, not an environment, as it affects new generations.

The reason researchers analyze racism is because they realize that racism is not an environment. But it starts with what you think about something, or how you judge other people. According to researchers, racism is universal. Not verbally expressed, done by one person only through sight, but still offends or humiliates others. We need to know more about racism, including the definition of racism, its history, types of racism, and the struggles of black people who experience discrimination.
