Marriage is a relationship between two people, they are husband and wife, which is very holy and sturdy, expected to never be separated until death. But in reality, the breakup of relationships halfway, from time to time, the number increases, and the causes are increasingly diverse. This is triggered by several factors, including infidelity, domestic violence, and higher wife income.

The first cause of the increase in divorce cases is the infidelity factor. Infidelity is the stage he violates commitment, the most extreme in breaking the commitment is when he has a relationship with another dream man or woman (Muhammad Fitrah, 2019). In the current era, infidelity is easier to occur due to social media and short messaging applications that are personal. A person can interact and have special relationships with others without being noticed by his partner.

Another cause in the rise in divorce cases is the presence of domestic violence. The behavior or act of domestic violence as a social fact is nothing new from the sociological perspective of society. This problem has been going on for a long time and continues to this day. Violence committed to wife or husband, children, and other families has the potential to damage the integrity of the household that ends in divorce.

The third cause, which often occurs at the latest time, is the wife's income that is higher than the husband's. In today's era, gender equality causes women to be more empowered, both in education, social, and career. This makes women able to work for money can even be superior to men. Especially during a pandemic like this, not a few heads of families lost their jobs. This triggers a divorce lawsuit from the wife against her husband because the wife feels more able to get a large salary to support herself and her children.

Apart from some of the above factors, divorce has an impact that will be felt by all family members, children, and even have an impact on health.

Divorce also leaves an impact on the whole family. Not only for divorced couples, but divorce can also cause injury to both extended families. The breakup of the relationship between families and even the emergence of hatred between two families is the real impact of divorce.

Another thing that is affected by divorce cases is children. Where children will feel trauma, stress, anxiety, decreased learning achievement, to psychological depression. This is due to the separation of their parents, which parents as a shelter and a place to get affection for children. Divorced parents cause children to lose their way to life and the affection that can cause children to fall into negative relationships.

Health is also one of the things affected by divorce. Maybe some people don't realize it and don't care about the health effects of divorce. The Journal of Marriage and Family reports that divorced middle-aged men and women have a higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease compared to people who are still married at the same age. Research in the journal Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes also found that women who had a divorce had a 24% higher risk of a heart attack. Meanwhile, women who had been divorced more than once had an increased risk of heart attack by up to 77%.

In conclusion, divorce is not the main way to get out of family problems. A divorce can cause new problems that will have an impact on the breakup of large family relationship, psychological impacts on children, even harmful health impacts.
